Bullers Wood School

Location: Bromley, UK

Bullers Wood School for Boys is a mainstream non-selective secondary school. Opened in September 2018, providing 180 places for boys living in the local area and has grown to accommodate 900 students from Years 7 – 11. Working with Kier as part of the government’s Building Schools for the Future programme, we were able to utilise our experience working in the education sector to provide a cost-effective bleacher seating system.

Solution

We designed and installed a 12-row Maxam Plus tiered system accommodating 252 bench seat places. This is a typical offering for us within the education sector as it provides an incredibly robust product which is vital for these heavy-use environments.

When the bleacher seating is not required, it effortlessly closes away under a balcony at the back of the hall to give the school full use of the hall for exams. The random use of the school’s colours within the bench layout provides a distinctive and striking aesthetic.
