Your service and repairs FAQs
Here, you’ll find clear, expert answers to the most common questions about services and repairs. If you still have a question that isn't listed below, get in touch.
Is there an after-sales maintenance package?
The platforms are guaranteed for 10 years. Your Hussey Seatway system must be serviced by qualified Hussey Seatway engineers to qualify for the warranty. We offer a comprehensive after sales package that includes annual servicing, replacement parts, emergency call outs, upgrades and refurbishments as well as ongoing staff training.
When do I need to get in touch to book a service?
If you’ve purchased a seating solution from us, there’s no need to worry, we’ll contact you approximately two to three months before your service is due to arrange a convenient date.
However, you’re always welcome to contact us directly if you’d prefer to schedule your service sooner or discuss your requirements.
Do you only service Hussey Seatway Seating?
No. While we specialise in Hussey Seatway systems, our highly trained engineers are equipped to service and maintain a wide range of seating solutions.
We provide expert maintenance and repair services for all seating types, ensuring safety, reliability, and long-term performance, regardless of the manufacturer.
Is there a best time to book in and schedule my service?
Our busiest periods for servicing are typically during school half terms. Booking outside of these times allows for greater flexibility in scheduling and availability.
We recommend arranging your service in advance wherever possible to secure your preferred date.
What if I need a specific date?
We always do our best to accommodate your preferred service date, and we recommend providing as much notice as possible.
As our service schedule is planned several weeks in advance, taking into account engineer availability and job locations, it may not always be possible to meet every requested date. In such cases, we will work with you to agree on a suitable alternative that fits both parties.
What if I need to cancel or move my scheduled date?
We understand that plans can change, and we will always try to be as flexible as possible. The more notice you provide, the easier it is for us to accommodate your request.
Please note that a call-out charge may apply if our engineer arrives on site and is unable to gain access, or if a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled visit.
If we need to cancel your appointment, there will of course be no charge. We’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date that works for you.
What if your unit has broken down?
In the unlikely event that your unit develops a fault, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible.
Our knowledgeable team will first work with you to diagnose the issue over the phone and, where possible, provide guidance to help resolve the problem quickly.
If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, we aim to have one of our engineers on site within 24 hours to get your system back up and running as soon as possible.
What repairs can be done to my unit?
We understand that faults and general wear and tear can occur over time with regular use.
Our team can carry out a wide range of repairs, including fixing or replacing pendants, as well as repairing upholstery or replacing individual chairs and benches.
For more detailed information on the support available, please contact our service team—we’ll be happy to advise on the best solution for your unit.
